I’ve learnt that in many ways the solution to a client’s brief is relatively easy. The difficult bit and what I really enjoy doing, is finding a way of implementing the solution that fits their circumstances and culture.
That’s where the last 20 years of working for such a wide variety of organisations (and running my own company) really helps – understanding the dynamics of organisations and the factors that enable or disable change.
Most of my work in recent years has centred on employee engagement in pursuit of building corporate reputation, changes in corporate direction and culture change. I have directed projects in the fields of Corporate Sustainability and Governance, Brand Engagement and Employer Branding.
I am fortunate to have worked with many great organisations – most recently with Accenture, BP, Novartis, ING, Philip Morris, QinetiQ, Shell and Unilever.
What attracted me to Comma is it’s culture - there’s a rich mixture of smart people here with a variety of backgrounds and experience and a real spirit of cooperation and achievement.
But it’s not all work and no play. In the evenings you’ll often find me playing the French Horn which is the ultimate team experience (and one of the most frightening!) and I’m still determined to get my golf handicap down to single figures.
